Spring 2016
5th and 6th grades went to the Denver Art Museum. We did research for our own Castle Rock Elementary Art Museum (Fine Arts Night.) We learned about the different jobs you can have in a museum, how art is displayed and what museum labels look like. We also made connections to music and classroom PBLs and curriculum.
Fine Arts Night May 2016
Every student that attends CRE had at least one work of art on display. They picked their favorite work from the school year. Some students had extra work chosen by me. They wrote their own museum label to go with their work. Each grade also put on a musical performance facilitated by our AMAZING music teacher, Mrs. Rucker.
In addition to all of their hard work we had stations and activities throughout the school. We even had an artist come and show us how to make calligraphy art! Thank you Ms. Louise!
